LATHAM, N.Y.- The Keystone College baseball team had two individuals received major conference awards while 12 players were named all-conference.
Head coach Jamie Shevchik '07 was named United East Coach of the Year. Shevchik led Keystone to a 35-9 record (15-1 United East) and earned the top seed in the United East Conference Tournament. Under his leadership, Keystone would capture its 20th straight conference crown with a 6-3 win against Penn State Harrisburg on Sunday.
Shevchik guided one of the best offenses in Division III baseball this year as his team's 529 hits rank fifth in the country and their batting average (.347) ranks sixth. While the bats were hot, the base paths were on fire as the team's 149 stolen bags rank second in the nation. This year, Shevchik led 12 players to All-Conference honors including the Pitcher of the Year.
Sean Brennan (Hatfield, Pa./North Penn) was named United East Pitcher of Year along with receiving first team all-conference. The senior was a stud of the mound as he went 9-0 and holds a 2.65 ERA with 64 strikeouts and a .197 batting average against. Brennan was named Pitcher of the Week on Mar. 10.
In addition to Brennan, the Giants had five players earn first team honors.
Andy Rivas (Bronx, N.Y./Academy for Language and Technology) is enjoying a remarkable 2025 season. The catcher is batting .458 with 12 home runs and 58 RBI while slugging .875 and a 1.405 OBS. He was awarded United East Tournament MVP at the conclusion of the conference championship. Also, Rivas earned United East Player of the Week and D3baseball.com Team of the Week awards this season.
Chase Boyle (Millsboro, Del./Sussex Central) recorded a .423 batting average with one home run and 33 RBI while playing and starting in 40 games.
Nate Ewing (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore Area) earns his second career all-conference award. In 43 games played, he posted a .367 batting average with three home runs and 33 RBI.
Darren Hagan (Aston, Pa./Garnet Valley) received his second consecutive United East first team honor. The outfielder played in 31 games where he tallied 42 hits and 27 RBI.
Drew Sorrentino (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) concludes the first team all-conference honorees as the senior right-handed pitcher was a big contributor coming out of the bullpen. In 16 appearances with one start, Sorrentino has struck out 40 batters while walking 11.
Griffin Yastremski (Bath, N.Y./Haverling) and Quinn Holt (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) both got second team all-conference accolades. Yastremski picks up his third career all-conference honor as he belted eight home runs with 35 RBI in 34 games played and starting in 29.
Holt has had a solid season on the bump as he holds a 3.40 ERA and has struck out 47 batters in 45 innings of work. He was also awarded United East Pitcher of the Week.
Carlos Pascual (Paterson, N.J./International) opens the Third Team All-United East squad as he possesses a .369 batting average with two home runs and 43 RBI.
 Robert Estrada (Maracay, Venezuela/James J. Ferris) secures his third all-conference honor. The outfielder played and started in 42 games where he recorded a .373 batting average with 27 runs batted in. He leads the team with 29 stolen bases. Estrada got player of the week from the conference on Mar. 10.
Pitchers Leam Powell (Phillipsport, N.Y./Chapel Field Christian) and Anthony Mierez (Granby, Conn./Rockville) wrap up the all-conference recipients. Powell went 7-0 with a 4.30 ERA as the sophomore has struck out 40 batters and walked 12. Mierez is having a career year as the junior has fanned 28 hitters in 25.2 innings pitched.
