LANCASTER, Pa.- The Keystone College men's basketball team dropped a 96–74 decision to Lancaster Bible College on Saturday afternoon in a United East Conference matchup.
PJ Murphy (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) led Keystone with a game-high 26 points, shooting 9-of-15 from the field and a perfect 6-of-6 from the free-throw line. Ahmodrion Jones (Wilmington, Del./Delcastle Tech) added 16 points and five assists, while Niame Scott (Philadelphia, Pa./Mount Pleasant) chipped in 13 points off the bench. Jden Golding (Jacksonville, Fla./Clay) and Tyler Ditton (Fulton, N.Y./G. Ray Bodley) combined for 17 points.
Lancaster Bible was paced by Camden Hurst, who scored 26 points on 9-of-11 shooting. Mark Heidebrecht recorded 13 points and five rebounds, while Nile Austin added 12 points.
Keystone kept pace early and trailed by just seven points at halftime, 44–37, after a competitive first 20 minutes that featured six lead changes and four ties.
The Giants briefly held a one-point lead midway through the opening half and remained within striking distance behind strong perimeter shooting and trips to the free-throw line.
Lancaster Bible used an efficient offensive performance to pull away in the second half, shooting better than 55 percent from the field after the break and outscoring Keystone 52–37.
The Chargers opened the half with a run to push the margin into double figures and continued to extend the lead with consistent scoring in the paint and timely three-point shooting. They held a significant rebounding advantage, 39–19 and finished the game shooting 60 percent from the field.
Keystone shot 39 percent overall and 34.8 percent from beyond the arc, while converting 20 free throws in the contest. The Giants forced 24 turnovers but were unable to overcome Lancaster Bible's size and efficiency inside, as the Chargers outscored Keystone 46–20 in the paint.
Keystone (3-13, 1-4 United East) will be back at home next Saturday, hosting Gallaudet University at 1 p.m.
