LA PLUME, Pa.- D3baseball.com and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its Preseason Top 25 Poll on Tuesday morning and the Keystone College baseball team is included in the national rankings.
The Giants finished 23rd in the poll a year ago and open the 2026 season at No. 24 in the D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25 Poll.
Keystone concluded the 2025 campaign with a 37-11 overall record and a 15-1 mark in conference play. The team captured its 20th consecutive conference championship and earned another NCAA Tournament appearance. Head coach Jamie Shevchik '07 received United East Coach of the Year honors.
Last season, the Giants were ranked fourth in the nation in stolen bases (150), fifth in runs (476), seventh in batting average (.343), seventh in scoring (476 runs- 9.9 runs per game), and tenth in stolen bases per game (3.12).
Defending national champion UW-Whitewater was selected first overall with 18 first-place votes, while fellow United East member Penn State Harrisburg checked in at No. 21.
Keystone will open the 2026 season on Tuesday, Feb. 24, facing Hanover College at the Cal Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
