Baseball Selected No. 27 in ABCA Coaches Preseason Poll

GREENSBORO, N.C.- With the 2026 season less than a month away, the Keystone College baseball team was picked 27th in the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Preseason Coaches' Poll presented by Netting Professionals.

This is the second preseason ranking for the Giants as they were chosen No. 24 in the D3baseball.com/NCBWA Preseason Top 25 Preseason Poll a week ago.

Keystone ended the 2025 campaign with a 37-11 overall record and a 15-1 mark in conference play. The team captured its 20th consecutive conference championship and earned another NCAA Tournament appearance. Jamie Shevchik '07 earned United East Coach of the Year honors.

Last season, the Giants were ranked fourth in the nation in stolen bases (150), fifth in runs (476), seventh in batting average (.343), seventh in scoring (476 runs- 9.9 runs per game), and tenth in stolen bases per game (3.12).

Defending national champion UW-Whitewater was selected first overall with 24 first-place votes, while fellow United East member Penn State Harrisburg checked in at No. 28.

Keystone opens the season on Tuesday, Feb. 24, facing Hanover College at the Cal Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
