PHOENIXVILLE, Pa.- The Keystone College men's basketball team opened 2026 with a win, taking down the University of Valley Forge 84-76 Saturday afternoon.
Despite a slow start, the Giants surged in the second half, posting a 50–36 scoring advantage to complete the comeback.
Jden Golding (Jacksonville, Fla./Clay) led the way for Keystone, pouring in a game-high 28 points on efficient shooting (10-of-16) and added eight rebounds.
Joining Golding in double figures was Ahmodrion Jones (Wilmington, Del./Delcastle Tech), who scored 16 points and dominated the boards with 12 rebounds. Kamdyn Ayers (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Western) chipped in 14 points and five rebounds, and Demetrius Thomas (Atlanta, Ga./North Clayton) added 10 points to round out Keystone's balanced attack.
For Valley Forge, Isaiah Reece scored 25 points to lead all scorers. He grabbed eight rebounds and dished out two assists. Michael Brody recorded 12 points and four assists off the bench.
Keystone struggled from beyond the arc in the first half but tightened its defense and improved efficiency in the paint after halftime, helping spark its second-half surge.
The Giants outworked the Patriots inside and got to the free-throw line late, converting key attempts down the stretch to seal the victory.
Keystone (3-11, 1-2 United East) hosts Penn College on Wednesday, Jan. 7 at 5 p.m.
