Indianapolis, Ind. – Keystone College has been selected to the Mideast Regional bracket for the 2017 Division III Baseball Championships as The NCAA Division III Baseball Committee has announced the 56 teams that will compete in the tournament.  The Giants are the #6 seed in the Mideast Regional hosted by Washington & Jefferson College and will open play on Thursday against #3 La Roche College on Thursday at Ross Memorial Park in Washington, Pa.

The first pitch of Thursday's game vs. the Redhawks is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.

Keystone is looking to earn its second straight and third overall trip to the NCAA Collegiate World Series after finishing as the national runner-up last spring.  The Giants punched their ticket to the NCAA Regional Tournament for the 10th year in a row with a 6-5, comeback win over Immaculata University in a winner-take-all Colonial States Athletic Conference championship game on Sunday at PNC Field.

Keystone and La Roche will open the regional tournament with a rematch of a pair of meetings at last year's Collegiate World Series, both won by the Giants, as Keystone advanced to the national championship series.

The Giants take a 31-13 overall record into Thursday's first round matchup with the Redhawks after winning their ninth straight CSAC title and 13th overall conference crown in a row.  This is the third year in a row that Keystone has headed out of the Mid-Atlantic Region for regional play after winning the New England Regional last spring while advancing to the final four of the New York Regional in 2015.

La Roche, currently ranked 12th in the country, sports a 34-8 mark this spring and advanced to the regional tournament for the fourth year in row by winning its fourth straight Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championship on Sunday.

The complete Mideast Regional field includes: #1 Wooster, #2 SUNY Cortland, #3 La Roche, #4 Washington & Jefferson, #5 Misericordia, #6 Keystone, #7 DePauw, and #8 Earlham.  The Mideast Regional field includes three of the final four teams in last year's Collegiate World Series field: Keystone, La Roche, and SUNY Cortland.

Winners of the eight regional tournaments will qualify for the double-elimination championship at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, Wisconsin, Friday-Tuesday/Wednesday, May 26- 30/31, 2017.
