Aston, Pa. – A record 65 Keystone College student-athletes were named to the Colonial States Athletic Conference Winter/Spring 2017 CSAC All-Academic Team which was announced on Tuesday.  The CSAC All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a grade-point average of 3.2 or better during their semester of competition, while using a full season of eligibility as determined by the NCAA.

Keystone's winter and spring student-athletes set a new record for excellence in the classroom for the fourth year in a row with 15 more CSAC All-Academic Team honorees than last year's previous high of 50, which followed a total of 38 recipients in the spring of 2015, and 25 in 2014.

For the entire year, Keystone also set a new standard for academic excellence for the fourth straight year as 119 Giants earned CSAC All-Academic Team accolades in the entire academic year.  The previous Keystone record was 100 last year following 86 total All-Academic Team honorees in the 2014-15 academic year, and 69 in 2013-14.

"Each one of these student-athletes should be commended," said CSAC Commissioner Adrienne Mullikin. "It is great to see that so many have excelled not only athletically, but also academically. These student-athletes truly demonstrate the NCAA Division III philosophy of enjoying a full collegiate experience, and they more than deserve this recognition."
