ROSEMONT, Pa. – Oct. 29, 2018 - The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Women's Soccer Championship is set to start on Monday, with four of the six seeded teams in action. In the first match of the day, third-seeded Cairn will host sixth-seeded Bryn Athyn, while fourth-seeded Keystone will play host to fifth-seeded Rosemont College.

Monday's winners will advance to the semifinals on Wednesday, as the lowest remaining seed will travel to top seed Centenary University, and the second-lowest remaining seed will head to second-seed Cedar Crest College.

Wednesday's winners will meet on Saturday at the highest-remaining seed for the CSAC Championship and the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

Looking at the field, top seed Centenary University, who advanced to the title game in 2016, went 11-7 overall and a perfect 8-0 in CSAC play. In fact, the Cyclones did not allow a goal in conference play all season. They are led by CSAC Player of the Year Chloe Christopher, who leads the conference with 40 points and 16 goals.

Second-seeded Cedar Crest College went 12-3 and 7-1 in CSAC play, with its lone loss to Centenary back on September 22 by a 2-0 score. The Falcons, who amassed the most wins in school history since winning ten in 2004, are led by Daria Warner who has 27 points on 13 goals and one assist.

Cairn University, who finished 10-4-3 and 6-2 in CSAC play, had losses to Centenary back on October 20 by a 1-0 score and Cedar Crest by a 2-0 score back on September 26. Victoria Ruitto, who was named CSAC Rookie of the Year, is tied for the team lead in points with 17. They beat Bryn Athyn by a 1-0 score back on October 13.

Keystone College comes into the tournament 4-13-1, but, 4-3-1 in CSAC play. With losses to Centenary (5-0L), Cedar Crest (3-0L) and Cairn (3-0L), the Giants defeated Rosemont back on September 22 by a 4-2 score. Goalkeeper Rebekah Shepherd (South Canaan, Pa./Western Wayne) ranks among the national leaders in saves with 192 saves.

Rosemont College, who comes into the tournament with a record 5-11 and 4-4 in the CSAC, has gotten a team-high 24 points from Maciana Mazzeo.

Finally, Bryn Athyn College sports a 5-7-2 mark and a 3-4-1 record in CSAC play. In their first year as a core member after leaving the NEAC, the Lions have gotten 22 points from Tori Titano and Ashley Rivera this season.
