La PLUME, Pa. – Keystone College has announced that it currently plans to pursue new scheduling opportunities during the 2020 fall football season. The college made the announcement in response to a statement by the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) that it would cancel its 2020 fall football schedule. Keystone would have competed in its inaugural ECFC season. 

In a statement, ECFC officials noted the conference's unique geographic footprint spanning several states, combined with several overnight trips for each school, has made moving forward with the approved league schedule unattainable. The conference noted that each member institution now has the flexibility to move forward at its own discretion. At the current time, Keystone plans to compete during the football season and is pursuing scheduling opportunities against other regional Division III schools.     

As the situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic evolves, Keystone will continue to follow all local, state, federal, regulations and guidelines regarding the health and safety of all student athletes and the entire Keystone community.
