La PLUME, Pa. – The Keystone College wrestling program opened up the 2022-23 season, hosting the Keystone Opener on Sunday afternoon.
The Giants hosted Penn State Mont Alto, Hunter and Lackawanna.
Leading the way for the Giants was Mariano Monacelli (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) and Nero Bono (Southboro, Mass./Assabet Valley), who both won their weight class at 157 and 197, respectively. Brendan Hamilton (Lennhartsville, Pa./Hamburg Area) at 285 went 2-1 to finish the day.
Tyler Rozanski (Dalton, Pa./Lackawanna Trail), Dalten Klinges (Nicholson, Pa./Lackawanna Trail), Codi Bomboy (Montrose, Pa./Elk Lake), Elijah Morder (Juniata Valley, Pa./Juniata Valley), and Daniel Steskal (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra) all picked up victories for Keystone.
The Giants will be back in action on Sunday, Nov. 13 at the Electric City Duals hosted by the University of Scranton.
