La PLUME, Pa. – The Keystone College baseball team was selected to play Immaculata University in the opening game of the NCAA Division III Tournament, with the regionals hosted by the Mighty Macs from May 20-22.
The Giants (24-18) defeated Wilson College in a three-game series this past weekend to win the program's 17th-straight conference title and 13th-straight Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) crown.
Immaculata (28-12) captured its first-ever Atlantic East Conference title after defeating Cabrini University and Marymount University twice in the AEC Tournament.
Joining the Giants and Mighty Macs on the other side of the bracket are Montclair State University (31-11) and Ithaca College (30-12). The Red Hawks earned an at-large bid into the dance while the Bombers earned the automatic berth after defeating the University of Rochester (31-11) for the Liberty League title.
Keystone and Immaculata are no strangers as both teams were in the CSAC together from 2008-2018. The Giants are 27-5 against IU since 2010, last playing each other on April 30, 2019 (Keystone won 13-9).

"When Immaculata was suggested as a regional host, there were skeptics but here we are. The Mighty Macs were a surprise last year but even with a change in coaching, kept the momentum going Their opposition on day one will be a familiar face. Now in different conferences, both Immaculata and Keystone use to see each other in the CSAC regular season. With their 17th straight conference title, the Giants hope to live up to their tradition while Immaculata wants to be Giant killers. Second seeded Montclair State and Ithaca are teams with a long tradition in the playoffs and the only teams in this regional that have World Series titles on their resume. Both the coaches from the glory days are gone but the traditions are strong. We see Montclair winning out in their regional to play the next weekend."
