Wrestling Competes at Blue Jay Classic

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.- The Keystone College wrestling team competed in the Blue Jay Classic Saturday morning hosted by Elizabethtown College.

The Giants finished 11th in the tournament out of 12 teams with 18 points. Wilkes earned the team title with 194 points followed by Penn College in second with 132 points.

Nero Bono (Southboro, Mass./Assabet Valley) received an eighth-place finish at 197 pounds. The junior picked up two wins as he defeated Ronan Moynihan of Penn College by tech fall and a win by fall against Brady Wilt from McDaniel College.

Rocco Arduini (Harpursville, N.Y./Harpursville) also finished eighth in the event at 285 pounds. He picked up a 10-2 major decision victory over Luke Abilio and 7-2 decision triumph over Kaden Bryan of McDaniel.

Bryce Burkhart (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville) claimed a win by pin at 285 pounds against Max Shnipes of Scranton. Codi Bomboy (Montrose, Pa./Elk Lake) contributed a tech fall victory at 157 pounds versus James Weikel of Wilkes.

Keystone will compete in a quad meet at King's College (PA) next Saturday, Dec. 14 at 9:30 a.m. Along with King's, the quad match will feature New Jersey City University, Sussex County Community College, and Alvernia University.
