Wrestling Finishes Season at Mideast Regional

Bono becomes fourth wrestler in program history to be named all-region.

ROCHESTER, N.Y.- The Keystone College wrestling team concluded the 2023-24 season this weekend at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regionals at RIT.

Following the two-day event, Keystone finished 18th out of 21 teams with a score of 20.5 points.

Rocco Arduini (Harpursville, N.Y./Harpursville) picked up three victories in the 285-pound weight class. His victory came by decision against Ezekiel Gayle of McDaniel by a final score of 20-15. The sophomore then knocked Oneonta State's Jhordyn Innocent at 285 by fall. He later grabbed a win by medical forfeit.

Nero Bono (Southboro, Mass./Assabet Valley) made history at the Mideast Regionals as he became the fourth wrestler in program history to be named all-region. He finished eight overall at 197 pounds. Bono earned two wins in his weight class as he defeated Nicholas Smith of RIT by fall and a 13-6 decision win over DJ Henry of TCNJ.  

Malachi Jones (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown) and CJ Riccobono (New Hyde Park, N.Y./New Hyde Park Memorial) tallied one win at 133 and 149 pounds, respectively.
