NEW JERSEY CITY, N.J.- The Keystone College men's wrestling team dropped its road dual at New Jersey City University on Thursday evening, falling 53–3.
NJCU took control early and never looked back, capitalizing on a trio of forfeits at 125, 141, and 174 pounds while adding bonus-point victories throughout the lineup.
The Gothic Knights opened the match with a 6–0 lead before securing back-to-back first-period pins at 133 and 149.
A technical fall at 157 and another pin at 165 extended the NJCU advantage to 35–0. The hosts continued to roll at 184 with a fall before adding their final forfeit at heavyweight.
Keystone's highlight came at 197 pounds, where Nero Bono (Southboro, Mass./Assabet Valley) battled through a competitive matchup to earn a 10–8 decision over NJCU's Simeon Hunte. Bono's win broke up the Gothic Knights' string of victories and secured the Giants' lone points on the night.
