LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's flag football team will be hosting a play day on Saturday, Apr. 5 at 11 a.m. at the Turf Field Athletic Complex.

The play day will feature United East members Cairn University and Penn State Harrisburg.  The team made its debut last weekend in a play day hosted by Lancaster Bible College. Keystone lost to Cairn, 6-26 in the opening game, but bounced back with a 24-12 win over Lancaster Bible in game two.

Last fall, Keystone and the United East released a statement to announce the addition of women's flag football as a conference-sponsored sport starting in 2025-26. This Spring, participating United East member schools are competing at the club level. The sport is then expected to move to the varsity level for Spring 2026.

The Conference's addition of women's flag football has been coordinated with the National Football League (NFL) and RCX Sports Foundation. The NFL, including both the Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers, is a huge supporter of the growth of flag football. Numerous NFL facilities and stadiums have been utilized for competitions and clinics while several players have attended and engaged with athletes to grow the sport.

"I am delighted by the interest shown by our student-athletes for Women's Flag Football. Our roster includes 21 players, which speaks to the growing popularity of the sport," said Keystone's Director of Athletics, Kacy Manning. "We are excited to host Saturday's play day and hope that the community will come out to support women's flag football at the collegiate level."

Below is the schedule of the event.
