WEST CHESTER, PA- The Giants showed plenty of marks in the Bill Butler Invite, showcases top finishes in multiple events throughout the meet. Ayzeem Hassan (Philadelphia, Pa./Motivation) showcased a top ten finish in the men's discus throw, with Jamilah Higgins (Cincinnati, Ohio/Purcell Martin) splashing in the top percentile in multiple events through the meet.
Marquez Stickland finished the 200m race in 40th place, running a time of 23.84. The 200m race saw three Giants finish inside the top 50 athletes. Jamilah Higgins (Cincinnati, Ohio/Purcell Martin) earned the highest mark, finishing in 34th with a time of 30.26, followed by Indya Rogers (Leeds, Ala./Leeds) with a time of 32.76. Josie Evans-Grant (Anchorage, AK/Grace Christian) finished in 46th with a time of 34.70.Â
The 400m race saw Marquez Stickland finish once more with high marks, placing 31st with a time of 55.84.Â
Keystone's men's discus throw saw one of the best finishes of the year, with Ayzeem Hassan (Philadelphia, Pa./Motivation) throwing 36.83m, good enough for a ninth place finish. Nathan Barragan (Fort Worth, Tex./Trimble Technical) placed 20th with a throw of 16.90m.Â
Jahvani Vasquez placed fourth place in the high jump event, with a best jump of 1.73m, Vasquez also placed 17th in the long jump with a jump of 4.11m. Nathan Barragan (Fort Worth, Tex./Trimble Technical) and Evan Suraci (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) showcased their talents in the long jump, with Barragan finishing in 15th place, and Suraci in fifth.Â
Jamilah Higgins (Cincinnati, Ohio/Purcell Martin) finished in 17th in the long jump event, posting a jump of 3.94m. The men's shotput saw Jaylien Moorer (Shorter, Ala./Booker T. Washington) and Ray Belle (York, Pa./Central York) finish in 14th and 18th, respectively.
The Giants wrap up the regular season at home as they home the Keystone Tune-Up on April 25. The United East Outdoor Track and Field Championship is also being hosted by Keystone, taking place on May 2 and May 3.
