Wilkes-Barre, Pa. – King's College wrestlers scored three pins and two decision on their way to a 48-6 victory over Keystone College on Friday night in the Scandlon Gymnasium in Wilkes-Barre. The Monarchs improve to 9-14 overall on the season while the Giants slip to 8-14 on the year.
Thomas Pashinski (Plymouth, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) notched Keystone's lone points of the match with a pin at 157 pounds. The freshman dropped Josh Nagel at the 2:43 mark of the bout to earn the win by fall.
King's earned three pins on the evening, with Dakota Quick pinning
Josh Rivera (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) 1:56 into the 125 pound contest followed by a James Wright fall over
Ryan Celenza (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) 3:25 into the 133 pound bout. Eddie Merrill pinned
Matt Ebanez (Reno, Nev./Reno) at the 1:45 mark of the 197 contest.
Tony Immediato pick up a 6-0 decision over
Jacob Richards (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock) at 149 pounds while Zach Smith notched an 8-1 decision over
Zachary Briggs (Wyoming, Pa./Wyoming Area) at 174 pounds.
The Monarchs also collected forfeit wins at the 141, 165, 184, and 285 pound weight classes.
Keystone will host its final dual match of the year on Sunday as it welcomes Lycoming College to the Gambal Athletic Center. The action will start at 2:00 p.m. in La Plume.
