Ian Hankins Named Head Track & Field & Cross Country Coach at Keystone

La PLUME, Pa. - Ian Hankins has been named the new head men's & women's track & field & cross country coach at Keystone College.

"I would like to thank Dr. Matthew Grimaldi and the entire search committee for their support and entrusting me with this program," Hankins expressed. 

"I couldn't be more excited to be at Keystone and build off our conference runner-up performances. It is truly a dream opportunity with our facilities and trails available to us. I'm looking forward to building a positive family atmosphere to create a championship culture.  Let's get to work!"

Hankins arrives to La Plume after spending three seasons at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. as the head coach of the Cardinals.

While at Catholic, Hankins coached 14 USTFCCCA South/Southeast All-Region Athletes, four Landmark Conference Individual Champions, three Landmark Relay Champions, 42 All-Landmark Conference athletes while breaking 13 program records.

Previously, Hankins was the head coach at Potomac State College of West Virginia University from 2014-16, starting the program from scratch in 2014. Hankins also served as an assistant coach at Montgomery College (2013-14) and Baker University (2011-13).

Hankins received his Bachelor's from Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio in 2010 and earned his Master's from Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas in 2013. Hankins also holds several coaching certifications: USATF Level 2 Certified in Endurance Events, USATF Level 1 and USTFCCCA Strength & Conditioning.
