Keystone Track & Field Competes at Monarch Invite

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Keystone College track and field program competed in the Monarch Invite hosted by King's College on Saturday.

The Giants will be training for the Jim Taylor Duals at Susquehanna University from March 27-28.

This was the head coaching debut of Dejon Bennett-Monroe, who was named head coach back on December 4.

Women's 100m

Jamilah Higgins (Cincinnati, Ohio/Purcell Martin) finished in fifth place with a time of 15.70.

Women's 200m

Higgins posted a fourth-place reading of 33.28.

Men's 100m

Evan Suraci (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) placed sixth (11.78) with Jahvani Vazquez (Bradenton, Fla./Southeast) coming in ninth (12.52).

Men's 200m

Breyon Moore (Baltimore, Md./Northeastern) finished in 26.85 for sixth place while Jayvon Swann (Chesapeake Beach, Md./Northern) turned in a 28.32 in seventh.

Men's High Jump

Vazquez placed first in the event, reaching 1.82m (5' 11.5")

Men's Long Jump

Suraci won the event with a leap of 5.78m (18' 11.75"). Nathan Barragan (Fort Worth, Tex./Trimble Technical) finished in third, going 4.95m (16' 3") and Azmir Ludvig (York, Pa./Central York) placed fourth (4.59m; 15' 75").

Men's Triple Jump

Barragan placed third with a distance of 10.19m (33' 5.25").
