Track & Field Opens Season at Misericordia Twilight

DALLAS, Pa.- The Keystone College men's and women's track and field team began its 2024 outdoor season Friday afternoon at the Misericordia Twilight Invitational hosted by Misericordia University.

Corey Scochin (Scott Township, Pa./Holy Cross) finished 18th in the 1500 meters with a time of 5:00.36 followed by an 18th place finish in the 800 meters (2:24.65).

Alex Simpson (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore) claimed a 10th place finish in the shot put with a mark of 10.12m.

On the women's side, Alexandra Thornton (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights) took seventh in the 400 meters with a time of 1.23.77.

The Giants will be back at Misericordia University to compete in the Misericordia Invitational on Friday, Apr. 19.
