Giants will raise funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer in CSAC game vs. Neumann

La Plume, Pa. - Fox 56 Sports will televise Keystone College's annual "Think Pink" women's basketball game live from the Gambal Athletic Center this Wednesday, February 10 as the Giants take on Colonial States Athletic Conference foe Neumann University. The game will air live locally on My Network TV, WQMY, WQMY-TV Comcast Ch. 11 and 811HD, Service Electric WB Ch. 4 or 504HD, Adams Cable 18 or 310HD. Direct TV HD tier Ch. 53, Dish Network Ch. 53. The game can also be viewed live at www.myfoxnepa.com.

The "Think Pink" campaign helps to raise awareness and funds in the battle against breast cancer. Keystone will don pink warm-up shirts before the game against the Knights. The shirts will be available for purchase in the lobby of the Gambal Athletic Center on the day of the game and donations will be accepted with all proceeds from the event will go directly to the American Cancer Society.

Keystone currently sports a 7-13 overall record this winter and, at 4-8 in conference play, sits three games out of a playoff position. Neumann, who won the first meeting between the two teams this year, 92-67 despite being outscored by the Giants in three of the game's four periods, is 11-10 overall and 9-3 in league action. The Knights currently stand fourth in the CSAC standings.

The "Think Pink" event will cap off a trio of events that Keystone athletics is holding in February to raise awareness and funds for those affected by various cancers. On Wednesday, February 3, the men's soccer team is hosting a "Be The Match" donor drive at the men's basketball game versus local conference rival Summit University starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Gambal Center. A simple cheek swab allows individuals to join the Be The Match registry to be a potential donor for someone battling a blood cancer.

On Saturday, February 6, the Giants are hosting a pair of CSAC games that are part of the conference's "#Play4JaylenAndJP Day," a fundraiser to assist Jaylen and JP, the children of Gwynedd Mercy University head men's basketball coach John Baron. Jaylen and JP's mother is courageously battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer. All 12 CSAC institutions are teaming up to support these two deserving children by charging a $2 admission fee to all CSAC basketball games on February 6 (CSAC students are free with their college ID), with all proceeds going directly to Jaylen and JP. Additional donations will also be accepted.
