They'll be plenty of athletic activity at Keystone College this weekend. The men's lacrosse, men's tennis, and softball teams will all host home events, giving Giant fans plenty to cheer about.

Coach
John Masten's men's tennis team will host Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponents Clarks Summit University and Cabrini University this Friday and Saturday, April 6-7, respectively, at 3:30 p.m. at the Birchwood Tennis and Fitness Club in nearby Clarks Summit. Senior
Steven Heintz, Jr. (Ardsley, Pa./Abington), will put a 3-0 record on the line in singles when he steps on the court this weekend. In doubles, he's 3-2 on the season, including a 3-1 mark when he teams with freshman
Derek Yenser (Womelsdorf, Pa./Tulpehocken ). Also expected to be in the lineup will be senior
Colin Franko (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock), sophomore
Tim Dunbar (Philadelphia, Pa./Edward W. Bok Technical), and freshmen
Sean Lape (Bethel, Pa./Tulpehocken) and
Alek Greenip (Falls, Pa./Tunkhannock).

The Giants, now 1-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play, can take a big jump in the CSAC standings with wins this weekend. It will be quite a challenge, however, since both Clarks Summit and Cabrini are at or near the top of the standings. Cabrini is in first place, having played only one league match so, while Clarks Summit is 3-1 against CSAC opponents.

Coach
Joe Lodato's men's lacrosse team will host Rosemont College in CSAC action on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at the Athletic Turf and Field Complex in La Plume. Both teams are looking for their first conference win and an opportunity to move up in the league standings. Senior midfielder
Caleb Strope (Horseheads, N.Y./Horseheads) and senior attacker
Ivor Corlette (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) led the Giants in total points with 11 each and freshman attacker
Tyler Brock (York Pa./Dover) and junior midfielder
Alec Lloyd (York, Pa./York Catholic) are just a step behind with nine and seven points, respectively. The sophomore goalkeeping tandem of
Nicholas Vazquez (Ashburn, Va./Stone Bridge) and
Dean Orofino (Staten Island, N.Y./New Dorp) has combined for 130 saves in eight games this year, an average of over 16 per contest.
Â
Coach Allison Ritter's softball team will host CSAC-leader Immaculata University at Edmunds Field in a doubleheader beginning at 2:00 p.m. Junior
Alyssa Hughes (Sellersville, Pa./Pennridge) continues to shine, both in the batter's box and on the pitcher's mound. She has hit safely in 14 of her last 15 games to raise her team-leading batting average to .362. On the mound, she leads the Giant staff in appearances (8), innings pitched (41.0), strikeouts (21), complete games (3), earned run average (3.07), and is tied for the lead in wins (2). Sophomore
Shannon Lloyd (King of Prussia, Pa./Archbishop John Carroll) is coming off impressive performances in Thursday's doubleheader against Cabrini. In those games, she belted two home runs among her four hits and drove in four runs, but Keystone's season-long three-game winning streak came to a close in a 7-3 loss in the opener. Cabrini took the nightcap, too, pulling out an 11-6 win. Immaculata, now 10-8 overall and 4-0 in the CSAC, comes into Saturday's doubleheader on a roll, having won six straight games. The Mighty Macs offense is led by Annemarie Bartow, Ashley Rey, and Keani Handle, each of whom is batting over .400 on the season.
