Canh earned Keystone its first-ever state championship in athletics when he won the PACC State title in men's tennis. As captain and a varsity letter in both men's tennis and soccer during his two years at Keystone, Canh compiled numerous other accolades in each sport, including PACC State Tennis Champion (1997-98), PACC State Tennis Runner-Up (1999), All-Conference EPCC for tennis and soccer (1997-98), All-State and National Honors for tennis (1997-99), All-Tournament selection for tennis (1997-99), Freshman and Sophomore Player of the Year for men's tennis (1997-99), Freshman Player of the year for soccer (1997-98), including most soccer goals scored for a freshman, and a 24-2 record in tennis (1997-99).
Canh graduated with a Liberal Arts degree with a concentration in political science. He went on to graduate from Philadelphia University (now Thomas Jefferson University) in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in International Business/Finance. While at Philadelphia University, Canh recorded the most wins in men's tennis for a transfer student and was selected for the All-Rolex Division 2 tournament.
After college, Canh served as an assistant coach for the men's and women's tennis teams at Philadelphia University and Ursinus College. He also volunteered as a tennis instructor for the USTA Gold Cup program for many years.
Canh continues to play tennis competitively in the Men's and Mixed USTA Leagues as a 4.5-rated player. This has afforded him the opportunity to travel across the country and play in tournaments in Palm Springs and Indian Wells, Calif.; Orlando, Fla.; Princeton, N.J.; and Tulsa and Scottdale, Ariz. His teams have consistently won local, regional, and national championships over the past 17 years.
Beyond sports, Canh has built a successful career in some of the world's most renowned finance companies. He spent a decade with BlackRock Investments, where he became Vice President of Cash Operations and also led an after-work tennis program to encourage employee engagement. He took a brief hiatus from the corporate world to pursue his dream of establishing and successfully running a Vietnamese restaurant in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia. Canh is currently Director of Treasury Operations/Cash Management at FS Investments in Philadelphia, where he voluntarily runs a company tennis clinic.
Residing in Lansdowne, Pa. with his family, Canh shares his passion for sports with others and can often be found on the tennis court in his spare time.
