Was a standout on the Keystone College basketball and football teams, serving as captain and team leader.  

While at Keystone, Mr. Wallace won the league scoring title and was named to the all-league team.  Following Keystone, Mr. Wallace played basketball for the University of Scranton and then enlisted in the United States Army. 

While serving, Mr. Wallace coached a basketball team in Germany and led the team to 48 straight wins.  When he returned home, Mr. Wallace played for the Boston Celtics for a year before returning to his home in Northeast Pennsylvania to coach for the Scranton Miners, Wilkes-Barre Barons, and Elk Lake High School.  

While at Elk Lake, Mr. Wallace accumulated two PIAA state championships, including a 36-0 season in 1977 on the way to his final state title.
