Hall of Fame
Keystone College President Emeritus Dr. Edward G. Boehm, Jr., is a true Champion of Keystone Athletics.
Since beginning his tenure as Keystone’s ninth president in 1995, President Boehm has continued the College’s proud 145-year history of excellent academics and successful athletics. During his presidency, Keystone entered a new era, transitioning from a highly successful junior college athletic program to a respected baccalaureate college and Division III member of the National College Athletic Association. During this time, President Boehm played a crucial role in spearheading Keystone’s membership into the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
With President Boehm at the helm and a group of talented Keystone faculty, staff, and coaches guiding the ship, Keystone has sailed to new heights in athletic accomplishment. For example, the Keystone baseball team is annually regarded as one of the top NCAA teams in the nation, advancing to the NCAA College World Series, and the Keystone golf team captured a national championship.
Thanks to President Boehm’s persistence and dedication, Keystone’s athletic facilities have undergone consistent improvement. The new Keystone College Field and Track complex would not have been possible without his tremendous efforts.
As a student at Frostburg State University in Maryland, President Boehm participated in a variety of activities, including soccer and track. President Boehm has long valued the relationship between academics and intercollegiate athletics, realizing that succeeding in the classroom is the top priority for any Keystone College student-athlete. In addition to performing on the field and in the classroom, Keystone athletes have become well-respected for the hundreds of hours they spend each year on community service projects, helping to improve the lives of young and old alike.
President Boehm and his wife, former Keystone First Lady Regina Boehm, are the parents of two sons, Evan and wife Melissa, and Andrew and wife Sarah, and grandparents of Grant Edward Boehm and Catherine Beckett Boehm.
For all those reasons and many more, Keystone College is extremely proud to induct Dr. Edward G. Boehm, Jr., into the Keystone College Athletics Hall of Fame.
