Stephen C. Nitti ’81 is honored for his outstanding athletic career at Keystone Junior College as a member of the men’s basketball team along with continued achievements following his time with the Giants.
 
A two-year standout for the men’s basketball team, Stephen scored 1,008 career points to finish with the second highest career total in Keystone history at the time.  A team captain of the 1980-81 team, he scored a school-record 611 points that season while averaging an impressive, 25.4 points per game, which also set a new record for the Giants.  
 
Stephen was named First Team All-Atlantic Region for the 1980-1981 season and was ranked third in the country in scoring during the first semester that season, averaging 26.5 points per game during that stretch.  He ended his career ranked third all-time in Keystone history with a 23.2 points per game career scoring average.
 
Stephen continued to excel on the court following his time at Keystone and was selected as the team captain at C.W. Post University for the 1982-83 season where he lead the team to the Big Apple Conference Championship and a third place finish in the Eastern Region for Division II in 1983.
 
Stephen also played in Europe, representing the United States team that was sponsored by PONY and People to People Sports. He also played in five games in the NBA PRO-AM in Newark, New Jersey.
 
Since earning a bachelor of arts degree in business from Long Island University (W. Post Center), Stephen has been active in the financial services industry for more than 20 years.  He has earned the Chartered Financial Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) professional designations and currently works as a wealth management advisor for Northwestern Mutual.
