Scott Marabell is recognized for his outstanding accomplishments on the baseball field that took him from Keystone to Jacksonville University, and onto the Los Angeles Dodgers. One of the Giants’ all-time leading hitters, Scott continues to be involved in the game, sharing his knowledge with a generation of future stars.
During his time at Keystone, Marabell posted an impressive, .423 batting average and was named to the Region 19 All-Conference squad. Scott then took his talents to Jacksonville University in Florida where he was twice named First Team All-Conference while posting a career .363 batting average and finished his career with 24 home runs, 28 doubles, nine triples, and 119 RBI’s in 132 games.
Scott continued his playing career with the Los Angeles Dodgers, spending five seasons in the minor leagues while being invited to the Big League Camp in 1989. In his five seasons, Scott won three championships including Sarasota in 1987, Vero Beach in 1990, and Bakersfield in 1990.
After completing his playing career in 1991 with the San Antonio Missions (AA), Scott began a coaching career that included a10 year stint at Woflson High School where he led the team to the state tournament seven times including two state runner-up finishes. Scott is a member of the Eastern Baseball Alliance and has coached many players who have gone onto careers in Major League Baseball and also runs the Scott Marabell Hitting Camp and is a volunteer AAU coach.
Scott and his wife Jocelyn, who are both teachers, have two sons. Connor currently plays baseball at Seminole Community College while Blake is a freshman at Bartram Trail High School in Jacksonville.
