Dick Keefe '68 was Keystone's first national champion, accomplishing the fete by capturing the 137-pound weight class at the 1967 NJCAA National Wrestling Championships. 

Keefe turned in a mark of 19-0 during the 1966-67 campaign, as he helped lead the Giants to the 1967 Pennsylvania Junior College Athletic Association (PJCAA) Wrestling Championship.  

Following the PJCAA championships, Keefe was named Outstanding Wrestler at the tournament.  Keefe also added a championship in the 137-pound weight class at the NJCAA District 15 championships, as Keystone claimed a team finish of fourth overall.  At the NJCAA National Championships,

 Keefe captured the individual title in dramatic fashion by pinning the nation's number one ranked wrestler in the weight class.  His title helped Keystone finish 14th out of 45 teams at the championships.
